If you are employed by a company under contract with the United States government outside the U.S., and are injured at work, you may be entitled to significant benefits available through the Defense Base Act.  It does not matter what Nationality or Citizenship you hold!

The Defense Base Act was established in 1941 in order to cover injured worker’s on military bases outside of the United States.  The Defense Base Act includes public work contracts with the United States Government for the construction of non-military projects, such as dams, roads, harbors, schools. . . and further extends to numerous activities involving the national security of the United States. Thus, almost all employees performing work pursuant to a contract with any agency of the Untied States government, may be entitled to significant benefits under the Defense Base Act if injured in the course and scope of their employment.
